Their team encouraged all attendees to complete one of three sentences:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;To improve health and health care, we need to start asking&#8230;&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;To improve health and health care faster, we must&#8230;&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;My bold idea for transforming health and health care is&#8230;&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can see the results of this thought experiment on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/1515639@N24\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Flickr<\/a>, on Twitter (<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#search?q=%23ideapowered\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#ideapowered<\/a>) or on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/pioneerrwjf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube<\/a>. Here&#8217;s what I said:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Susannah Fox - Pew Research Center\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zIki7Jr2nsM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sound isn&#8217;t perfect, so here&#8217;s what I meant: <b>Acknowledge the power of networked patients and caregivers.<\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many people talk about how <a href=\"http:\/\/e-patients.net\/archives\/2010\/01\/patient-in-chief.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">consumers are the greatest untapped information resource<\/a> in medicine, but the Pew Internet Project&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.pewresearch.org\/pewresearch-org\/internet\/topics\/Health.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">research <\/a>shows that patients and caregivers are already accessing that knowledge via social media (and less whiz-bang technologies). The health care system just needs to tap into the parallel system that has sprung up.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What do you think?\u00a0 Which of the questions would you like to
